Apple Crumble

A Saturday evening classic dessert at my place, particularly during Winter.

Ingredients

• 3 Granny Smith apples (large)
• 90g unsalted butter
• 1/2 cup rolled oats (not quick oats)
• 1/2 cup plain flour
• 1/2 cup caster sugar

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
2. Peel apples, core and slice thinly
3. Place apples in microwave safe container with 2 tablespoons water, place lid on and microwave on high for 4 minutes until soft
4. Melt butter in seperate container in microwave
5. Mix melted butter, oats, flour and sugar into crumbly mess
6. Place softened apples at base of oven safe container, layer crumble on top and bake in oven for 25 minutes until golden brown on top.

Serve with whipped cream
